Lake McDonald - Most Amazing and Beautiful

Lake McDonald is the biggest lake in Glacier National Park. It is placed at 48°35′N 113°55′W in Flathead County in the U.S. condition of Montana. Lake McDonald is more or less 10 miles (16 km) long, and over a mile (1.6 km) wide and 472 feet (130 m) profound, filling a valley framed by a mix of disintegration and chilly action. Lake McDonald lies at a height of 3,153 feet (960 m) and is on the west side of the Continental Divide. The Going-to-the-Sun Road parallels the lake along its southern shoreline. The surface region of the lake is 6,823 sections of land (27.6 km²). 

The lake is home to various local types of trout, and other amusement fish. Catchable species incorporate, however are not restricted to - westslope relentless trout, rainbow trout, bull trout (roast), lake trout (scorch), Lake Superior whitefish, mountain whitefish, kokanee salmon (landlocked sockeye), and suckers. McDonald Creek streams into and channels from the lake, and purges into the Middle Fork Flathead River shortly after.
