Details on This Week’s Marriott Trivia Question for 1,000 Free Points
If you like free points, you’ve had a great time over the last few months as Marriott has given away untold thousands of points nearly every Sunday of the NFL season. Today is no exception, because @MarriottRewards has posted another brand new trivia question. In order to get 1,000 free points, you’ll need to tweet your answer to this by 8pm Eastern on Sunday, November 19:
Careful, because this one is a little tricky — the NFL regular season is 17 weeks long, but each team gets one “bye” week off. In other words, the answer is the result of 17 minus 1. Or for those whose strength isn’t math, check out the responses of others who have already tweeted correctly.
Folks who have been answering these questions for the entire NFL season have already banked thousands of points from it. But there’s still seven weeks left (including this week) in the regular season, so even if you tweet for the first time today, you have the potential to earn as many as 7,000 points from this promotion. In his most recent monthly valuations, TPG values Marriott Rewards points at 0.9 cents each, so that’s $63 in points you could get just by starting today and continuing through the rest of the year.
Don’t forget that you have to connect your Twitter and Marriott Rewards accounts before you tweet your answer or the points won’t credit. Also, by connecting accounts, you’ll earn an additional 250 points on top of the trivia points. While you’re connecting your Twitter account, you can also connect your Facebook and Instagram accounts to earn another free 250 points for each one. And following Marriott on Twitter and Instagram will rack up another 125 points for each one.
Finally, remember that Marriott points earned via social activity don’t count toward resetting the expiration clock, so make sure you have some other activity every two years to keep your Marriott points alive. Send your tweet before 8pm Eastern and include the hashtag #RewardsPoints when you answer!
