Livraria Lello Porto , Portugal

Livraria Lello & Irmão, otherwise called Livraria Chardron or essentially Livraria (Lello Bookstore) is a book shop spotted in focal Porto, Portugal.

Alongside Bertrand in Lisbon, it is one of the most seasoned book shops in Portugal. In 2011, the travel distributed organization Lonely Planet arranged Livraria Lello as the third best book shop on the planet.

The real organization about-faces to the foundation of the "Livraria Internacional de Ernesto Chardron" in 1869, down in the Clérigos road. After the early passing of the author at 45 years old, the firm was sold to "Lugan & Genelioux Sucessores".

In 1881, José Pinto de Sousa Lello made a book shop in the close-by Almada road. In 1894, Mathieux Logan sold the old Chardron Library to José Lello which, holding an association with his sibling Antonio Lello, kept Chardron with the enrolled name of "Sociedade José Pinto Sousa Lello & Irmão", which then would be alluded to as "Livraria Lello e Irmão" (1919).

The premises that stands today has a veneer improved in Art Nouveau, with a few peculiarities of the Gothic Revival.
